Rainbow Unit- Spring Term Week 2
Class: Rainbow Unit Year: 2024 - 2025
It has been a busy week for the children in the Rainbow unit. The children have all done really well with getting back into our daily routines and following our objects of reference.
They have all enjoyed playing outside again and mixing with the children from other parts of the school, even trying out some of the new playground equipment that has been out for this half term.
In our classrooms, we have introduced lots of new cause and effect toys which the children have loved exploring. We have seen lots of anticipation skills being shown when using these. We have also introduced a role play area where there is a kitchen and some toy food which the children have loved playing with. They have been practising their fine motor skills, using a toy knife to cut some of the food in half (it is attached by Velcro!)
We have continued to develop our fine motor skills by practising bead threading and using the peg boards to make patterns. Some children were able to follow the pattern and use the exact same colours as what was on their card. Others created their own patterns in whatever way they wanted.
We hope you have a lovely weekend!
