Parish of St Wilfrid, Widnes
St Basil's Catholic Primary School is part the Parish of St Wilfrid, Widnes.
Father Mark Moran serves as our Parish Priest and Moderator. In September 2024 he was joined by Father Peter Ross who is our school Priest.
Fathers Mark and Peter are both an important part of school community and a great support to school, they are known and loved by all.
They regularly celebrate Mass with the whole school community and warmly welcome the children into Parish Masses at St Basil's Catholic Church.
The children enjoy sharing with them their Celebration of the Word, special liturgies and benefit from their contribution to Religious Education.
We are fortunate that St Basil's Catholic Church is in close proximity to our school. The church is a special place, the children visit regulary to enrich their learning and to share special Advent and Lenten Celebration of the Word.
We are grateful for the the Parish Catechists who support our children and families in their sacramental preparation.
